Services
Initial Consultation (60 minutes): $625
The initial appointment is a virtual consultation in which we will review your concerns, your completed mental health assessment forms, your past psychiatric history, and your past medical history. A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation will be performed. At the end of the appointment, we will share our clinical impressions and treatment recommendations. If we move forward with treatment, we will collaborate on next steps for your care which may include integrative psychiatric management, psychotherapy, and psychopharmacologic interventions.
50 minutes virtual treatment session (therapy+/-medication management follow-up): $475
25 minutes virtual treatment session (medication follow-up): $350
One-Time or Second Opinion Consultations (up to 75 minutes): $725
We also perform virtual second-opinion consultations to patients who are currently undergoing treatment by another healthcare provider, as well as those seeking a one-time virtual consultation prior to transferring their psychiatric care to another practitioner (such as a primary care provider or psychiatric prescriber). It is important to note that this service does not aim to establish a new doctor-patient relationship or provide ongoing care. Psychiatric medications are not prescribed following these visits.
Insurance
Out of Network
For enhanced personalized care, Safineia Psychiatry operates independently of all insurance networks. We will issue an itemized receipt (superbill) for the services rendered, which you can subsequently submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. It is advisable to confirm your out-of-network benefits directly with your insurance company and verify whether your plan covers telehealth appointments (delivered via a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform). Safineia Psychiatry does not accept Medicare (primary or secondary) or Medicaid/MassHealth insurance plans. Consequently, we cannot serve patients with these coverage types, regardless of their ability to pay out-of-pocket.
Reimbursements
When checking on your reimbursements with your insurance company, it may help to provide potential billing codes that may be utilized. You will need to ask about out-of-network benefits, any deductible you may need to meet for these benefits, and reimbursements for the following codes:
Initial evaluation: 99205 +/- 99417 +/- 96127
Medication management only: 99213, 99214, or 99215, depending on complexity
